“ LaGuardia”, is located on the northern
shore of Queens (on the Grand Central Parkway, is
9 miles from midtown Manhattan and mainly handles
domestic flights, Canada and the Caribbean. Most
domestic flights in the U.S.A come through LaGuardia
(there are some exceptions such as Continental Airlines).
It is named after Fiorello LaGuardia, the former
mayor of New York. It is the smallest of New York's
thee major commercial airports. The others are JFK
International Airport and Newark
Liberty International Airport.
